For Internalized, the classically influenced band shell in the Music Concourse of Golden Gate Park, circa 1900, is digitally rendered into an interior or psychological space where the artist faces herself. One self wears a glass phallus false beard and the other a beard emblazoned with sequins and the text “POWER.” The viewer, within the virtual space, stands in the charged space between these two personas.
